An audit has uncovered a massive scandal in Connecticut, where hundreds of troopers manipulated the state’s racial-profiling database through fraudulent citations
I have been to a few union jobs. I don’t like unions. I hate some of the folks there. They can’t be fired unless they do something really stupid. So most end up doing bare minimum.
Usually if they don’t announce his termination, he eas reassigned until things blow over.

It is truly wild how far cops will go to continue being shitty and not bettering themselves. Not surprising or shocking at this point, but just fucking wild.
It’s like any kind of scammer, grifter, con artist, etc; at some point they’re doing more work than if they actually just did their jobs.
Spoiler alert: He does.
Yes, our cops have a heavy bias against black people. It’s pretty obvious if you swap traffic so stories with black people and non black people. Most of those biases result in more traffic fines, and other citations that are technically against the law, but they usually ignore it if you’re not black. Total bullshit, and needs to be addressed.
Them trying to cover it up is a very unsurprising things for our cops to do, with their stupid ass “it’s not our fault black people commit more crimes” metality. But considering how I’ve seen and read about the straight up harassment, abuse, and fatal incidents stared by cops in other states, it could be worse. CT cops are… Well I won’t say good… I’d say they’re like Walmart floor stockers. They spend more time making it seem like they’re doing their job that actually doing it, trying to take as much free shit as they can get away with, and if you ever ask them for help they’re too busy.
If they take this finding, fire the offenders, and use it to tighten up on their obvious racial bias, we might have a semi-passable police force.
… I’m sure they won’t though.
Blame unions for this garbage.
A union of guys who are paid to break up protests and strikes doesn’t really count as a union, especially when they have guns but most of the elected officials don’t.
It’s a union - and an extremely powerful one at that. You can wish and hope all you want that it isn’t, but it is and shows just the kind of corruption and bullshit unions can be.
A union of seamstresses is not going to be able to hold the city hostage. Hell, even when Hoffa was running the teamsters–The most infamous example of union corruption in history–he couldn’t get a clause in the contract where a guy who killed a guy on the job got to keep his job.
The FOP is not indicative of unions in general.
“Blame” unions for weekends and sick time.
Unions have long outlived their usefulness in the US. In other parts of the world, unions are still very important and seem to be able to operate without turning into pure corrupt bullshit. In the US? Not so much. With money comes corruption and we can’t seem to get things right here. Either we have corporate bullshit or union bullshit and neither of them are good for workers or the country as a whole.
Weird, then, that unions keep getting formed. And giving people new benefits they didn’t have before.
unions keep getting formed
Maybe step away from your computer for a little bit. Unions in the US have been in a massive decline for decades now.
Facts show otherwise, but keep believing in that.
My union kicks ass, and always has my back. Blanket statements are useless my dude.
That said, POLICE unions are a bit of a special case. They seem to be… Parasitic to society.
All Unions in the US are parasitic.

When police resist reform they give us no choice but abolition.
He probably got a promotion.
