“Earlier today, we spoke with representatives from Twitter and they will send a letter to us to say that X.com will be used by Twitter…”

Ah, yes. A letter, the choice of grandparents and luddites worldwide.

Yup, it’s kinda annoying when Google offers links to Reddit that won’t work.

Just use the 1.1.1.1 app, or on your computer (or router) change the DNS to 1.1.1.1

Indonesia is soft blocking via DNS only, very easy to bypass.

That depends on the ISP. The biggest one (which is also state-owned) performs deep packet inspection (if you browse without https and the HOST header contains a blocked domain, the request will be blocked), transparent DNS redirect (you thought you’re querying 1.1.1.1, but the request is actually answered by the ISP’s DNS server), and sometimes full IP ban for sites that really pissed some government officials off (xhamster used to get this IP ban, not sure why it got a special treatment, but the government officials made a statement about blocking certain hamster site on TV). DoH is also super slow to the point it’s unusable. I know because I’m sadly a customer.

It’s been a while since I did an “e-kek-kek-kek” laugh with a dumb smile on my face.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Informatics said the site was restricted as the domain had been previously used by sites that did not adhere to the country’s strict laws against “negative” content such as pornography and gambling.

Musk has owned x.com since the early 2000s. He’s never let it expire… All because he’s obsessed with the letter X and thinks that it would make a good company name.

So who knows what Indonesia is talking about.

Obviously the Indonesian government has fallen to the alien menace, they’re cutting off funding to the X-com program.
