If you like cats and building things for cats this guy is amazing: https://www.youtube.com/@hahahaYouTube
It’s a korean guy on a fish farm that started vlogging 7 years ago, and he had a lot of stray cats that he helped out, made food for, made sleeping spots etc. I think he became pretty popular in korean (1mil + subs), and he is now building more and more cool stuff for his cats.
I really like Illinois EnergyProf Talks a lot about energy, reactors, turbines, solar you name it
Mental Outlaw
ManyATrueNerd for funny and wholesome let’s plays. Especially for Fallout fans, but there’s so much more than that.
Viva La Dirt League + their D&D Channel
They’re great, watching their skits makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, and some good laughs.
Jacob Geller Wonderful art and gaming essays.
Lemmino, hogg and fern. for quality animated documentaries
German: Ultralativ for Medienkompetenz-Content
If you’re into bread tube / left tube, I highly recommend Innuendo Studios. In particular, Innuendo Studios’s playlist, “the Alt-Right Playbook.” It helps make sense of internet discourse.
They’ve also got fantastic gaming related content, namely This is Phil Fish, The Artist is Absent: Davey Wreden and The Beginner’s Guide, and Who Shot Guybrush Threepwood.
Their series on Gamer Gate, Why Are You So Angry?, is also worth a watch!

I’m open-source, check me out at GitHub.
Vlogbrothers has been a favourite for many years. They do so much good! And do lots of silly stuff too, like making a series of videos with titles taken from smash mouth’s rockstar 😀
I like this ASMR channel: https://youtube.com/@InvolvingAmbience
I don’t know these were posted or not but here is my suggestions which every youtube watching person probably already heard about most of them:
Not Just Bikes: Channel about Urban Planing-Living and how destructive the cars are.
History Matters: Short animated videos about historical events, narrated with humor.
my mechanics: Best and most detailed restorations ever.
NileRed - NileBlue: All about experimenting with chemical reactions.
Oversimplified: Like the name, oversimplified narrations of historical events but in a long form with animated depictions and humor of course.
Stefan Milo: Really informative research videos of archeology.
The Linux Experiment: Like the name suggests it’s all about Linux.
Bad Lip Reading: It’s in the name.
ChrisFix: Best car repair channel out there.
DIY Perks: DIY videos but heavy on the entertainment side rather than the doable diys.
Ethan Chlebowski: Trying to understand cooking from the perspective of homecooks.
Alex (the French Guy Cooking): Reverse engineering the recipes.
Brick Experiment Channel: Building Lego machines.
These all are high quality channels imo. There are a lot more but I am kinda lazy for now.
This is a csv file of really high quality channels that you can directly use in Piped: Proton Drive Link to csv file
My Mechanics is really great!
Hang on why are you spying on me? This is essentially all I watch!
Really? We essentially have a same taste then. I am curious do you have any other suggestions for me?
+1 for NJB.

- Knowing Better educational political and sociological videos with occasional skits.
Astonished to see a thread about YouTube and not see any mention of Dankpods. I sub to two patreons, and Wade’s is one of them. It’s because of him that I have an ever-growing collection of iPods.
This is pretty niche, but if you’ve watched Summoning Salt and are looking for something similar, check out OneShortEye:

He does something similar for the world of speedrunning old LucasArts/Sierra adventure games. Highly recommended!
