The comment sections on Vinesauce videos seem nice. They are usually focused on the content of the videos or Vinny instead of attacking each other.
You shouldn’t have to do a Google search. It should be so easy, a tech-illiterate 90 year old can find it in seconds.
It doesn’t matter how easy or hard it is. It should be just as easy to cancel as it is to subscribe. It should be the same amount of steps, or less.
If you aren’t satisfied with the content available, why not create some?

We are individuals with our own opinions. If you disagree with these, it is no problem! You can still freely use the Lemmy software on different instances. If you host your own instance, we have no control over it at all and are unable to censor what users say.

The pending thing just means that it hasn’t been able to update the subscriber count on fedia yet. On your instance, you’re properly subscribed. New posts should show up as they get posted but old posts might take a while.
It’s not pointless, it’s so they can track you.
