I don’t even let them in the room. Housekeeping left the door to my room open once for the entire day. I was across from the elevator. Thankfully nothing was stolen, but ya know, fool me once

The cost is too high? Seriously?
You’re not paying anything for the service. You have no concept of what their costs are. You’re mildly inconvenienced by some annoying and slightly obtrusive ads.
It’s a business, not a charity. And they owe you nothing.
Sponsored search placements haven’t really changed. Most ads are run through AdWords which are found across the web and on mobile apps. Even this post is about ads run within videos. Thus unrelated to search.
Yeah, completely agree. But this is also Lemmy. The majority of users are either a communist or almost a communist. And usually have a pretty bad understanding of what that even entails. Generally they just want everything to be free or paid for by someone else.
Who do you expect to pay for it?
Always was. How tf do you think they make money
So many people in this comment section are pissed that YouTube isn’t both free and ad-free. It’s mind blowing.
Yes, YouTube is a business and exists to generate revenue.
It’s completely accurate. Thos is crazy, I know, but you can have a shit ton of things but only 3 of one specific thing.
Sometimes sellers get more inventory in when stock is low. Sometimes they don’t. Amazon is just letting you know how many units they have on hand. Actually, they even let you buy units that are still on their way to the Amazon warehouse.
My security deposit was returned to me with interest added.
I was told not to paint anything because they do that whenever someone leaves as standard practice.
Sometimes apartments aren’t bad.
A friend of mine got fucked by a local pizza place after the waitress changed a tip by adding a comma and a few zeros.
Pizza place refused to refund, credit card company wouldn’t cancel the transaction because it was too large. We had to start a social media campaign to shame the place into refunding him. They turned a $15 tip into a $1,500 tip.
So I definitely appreciate stuff like this
My brother in Christ, why is sucrose bad for your liver? Because it is metabolized into glucose and… Fructose
The metabolism of sucrose into glucose and fructose happens in the small intestines. Fructose enters the bloodstream and is metabolized by the liver.
What kind of sugar? High fructose corn syrup or sugar?
HFCS is metabolized in the liver making it far more damaging to the body. And soda that uses real sugar typically has a lower sugar content. Soda with real sugar also imparts a feeling of fullness, typically resulting in people drinking less.
I got the cosori toaster oven. Quality is pretty good for the price. Customer service is great.
Okay. The vast majority of men will not attack you for rejecting their advances. The news loves to cherry pick things that scare people and make them angry, because it increases viewership.
What’s the alternative? Men should never speak to women?
It’s definitely written by someone who’s never used a VR headset. It only takes a second to realize that these screens are nowhere near the resolution of your eye. Ya know, cause small text that would be easily read on my phone is blurry as fuck on a VR headset
I mean, I don’t think it’s an easy thing to fix. How do you eliminate bias in the training data without eliminating a substantial percentage of your training data. Which would significantly hinder performance.
Yeah, necessary to have a car in the US. But I like using public transit when possible. Especially when traveling to NYC. It’s slightly faster to drive, but nothing beats the feeling of not having to park.
Plus, parking costs as much as the train ride
Wow didn’t see that the first time
I am very well aware of the automated pricing tools in Amazon. The accounts under my management will do over $3.5 million in sales this month. I will also manage almost $1 million in ad spend. I may be the only person in this comment section with a qualified opinion.
These tools cannot adjust price based on customer data. They can adjust pricing based on competitor prices, and based on how many units you are currently selling. That is all.
It is wrong
