Did you know the British airing of MASH didn’t have a laugh track cause the brits find it weird
Interesting, as IT Crowd is one of the very few British comedies I have ever seen, and it has a laugh track.

TL;DR:
When you share a link on Mastodon, a link preview is generated for it, right?
With Mastodon being a federated platform (a part of the Fediverse), the request to generate a link preview is not generated by just one Mastodon instance. There are many instances connected to it who also initiate requests for the content almost immediately.
And, this “fediverse effect” increases the load on the website’s server in a big way.
Does Lemmy not cause this issue? Other federated software was not mentioned in the article at all.

What does this mean? You are assuming that a particular user deleted their account, taking all their posts with them?
I was hoping for more than just that, but any data you have on [email protected] would be appreciated!
My favorite new feature here is vertically swiping the spacebar for vertical cursor movement. Not as good as iOS’s spacebar cursor implementation, but a welcome improvement over that of any other Android keyboard I have tried.

I used to buy a lot of “”““natural””“” peanut butter. The kind in glass jars that separates after a while, so you have to stir the jar every time you use it. After a while, I started keeping it in the refrigerator because that stopped it from separating at all. Just stir once when opening the jar for the first time, then into the refrigerator it goes, and it never needs stirring again.
