It’s only okay when the alternative is “your entire population is killed.” If you’re not fighting a defensive war with high stakes, then it’s just a way to kill poor people and political dissidents.

I mean, this looks like a slam dunk win to me. Guy looks way hotter in a crop top.
I mean, reading that sentence, it certainly wouldn’t surprise me if they omitted it just to spite the British.
My raidteam managed to get a server first boss kill while raiding Mythic Tomb of Sargeras in World of Warcraft:Legion. I was so proud of our teams achievement, I actually got a tattoo of the Mark of the Kirin Tor, a symbol for my mage character, in commemoration of the achievement.
Yeah, it’s unfortunate that death-cults preaching about the poison of reality are really bad at surviving through time.
It worked fine at the time, the problem is that all of that motivation to defend democracy was artificial, and slowly faded from the public as the war faded into the past.
The flavor text teally sells this meme.
Most Americans don’t realize that the U.S. is by far the easiest developed country to immigrate to, by a country mile. It’s still an incredibly difficult feat, but our standards are really, really low. For most developed countries, you’ll need to have a specialized, useful education, a significant amount of capital on-hand, a clean bill of health, and you’ll need to learn a new language.
My “plan” for a Trump election is to try and get a student visa to complete my PhD in neuroscience, and then I’ll overstay and escape to the European wilderness as an illegal immigrant. I wouldn’t hold my breath for a promise of asylum.
What? it looks fine to me, outside of the general difficulty of reading regex. I mean, it’s not meant to be readable, it’s meant to catch all the different spellings if what they want to filter and do so.
This almost feels like bait, your instance is Lemmy.ml. The ml stands for Marxist-Leninist, your home instance is literally the home for far-left ideology. You’ll still see a leftist bant for the reasons commenters have mentioned, but the single biggest reason is that your instance is owned and operated by them.
The problem is that it flat out isn’t a space exploration game. Space is more or less a glorified loading zone. You can do some dogfighting if you want, but you’re mostly just going to fast travel from planet to planet while completing modern, bland Bethesda quests.
If you really just love Bethesda games, and have enjoyed your time in Fallout 4 or 76, there’s not anything wrong with it structurally. The gunplay is about as good as the Creation Engine allows, and there’s some actually cool new game+ additions to encourage a replay. The problem is that if you’re someone who saw both of those games as signs of Bethesda faltering, Starfield is your proof that their open-world design is outdated, and their writing can’t compete in the same arena as someone like Larian.
They have been. The problem is twofold; Airbuses are limited in the U.S., and airlines have increased the rates on those tickets because I guess a working airplane is now considered a premium.
Exactly! Gotta finish the bloodline, that’s just villainy 101
I’m interested to see what changes they’ll be making from 6 to 7. 6 was kinda panned on release, and games like Humankind and Age of Wonders 4 have introduced serious competition to the 4x genre in the years since.
Again, if it was propoganda I think it would be more incendiary. You’re free to go through the information if you wish, and there probably are some juicy secrets somewhere in the mess of files, but my spotcheck made me yawn. If you don’t want to live in a world with no truth, you have to start thinking about the intent of the author. If the intent of the author here was to plant misinformation, or to sow division, then they did a terrible job at it. What little I read gave me no interest in reading more.
A lot of them look legit, mostly because they are boring. I scanned a few, it’s stuff like the air force’s memo on how to deal with press, or a memo alleging a number of Russian cybersecurity attacks on U.S. assets.
If someone was going to fake releasing stuff like this, they probably wouldn’t do it with such boring documents, they’d put some shit about aliens in there.
wait but, if Mexico builds a wall and pays for it, wouldn’t Trump just claim it as a yuge win?
People love “Are We The Baddies” and “Vectron” and even the sneaky “Do You Do Poison,” but this is my vote for the best Mitchell and Webb sketch. Just hilarious.
Honestly, I love making friends with people who haven’t experienced some of the really incredible pieces of pop culture, because I get to see them react to seeing something incredible for the first time. Your reaction should never be "omg you’ve never seen this before, what kinda weird alien are you? and more “omg you’ve never seen this before? okay we have to watch it real soon, it’s incredible.”
It’s only really annoying if the person is some kinda incel who has made it a point of pride to be uncultured and refuses to watch or appreciate good movies/TV.
Humans can have more complex emotions. We can be stressed about theoretical concepts that animals just are not equipped to understand. We can be excited by the prospect of future events.
Most animal emotions are immediate. They enjoy some food they eat, they find a nice warm spot to bask in, they see a predator and run away. Most animals lack the mental capacity to think beyond the immediate.
