Hahaha i had a friend that always said “If i wait long enough, eventually someone will take charge and make choices, so I don’t have to!”
The only vegan people i know are the most lovely, smiling, and funny people. I only know they are vegans because insufferable conservatives are complaining about them being vegans.
Holy shit, gotta try it now…
Well that’s interesting: in order to define unmeasurable sets, you relied on the axiom of choice… I suppose it might be possible to define unmeasurable sets without AC, but maybe not!
Every time I encounter the axiom of choice implying a bunch of crazy stuff, it always loop back to requiring AC. It’s like a bunch of evidence against AC!
I find it interesting that the basic description of AC sounds very plausible, but I’m still convinced mathematicians might have made the wrong choice… (See what i did there? 😄)
Yeah, I’m really out of my element talking about these abstract mathematical topics… I’m too much of an empirical scientist it seems!
Give me a set and I’ll find a way to measure it! …actually I’d like to know what’s the mathematical definition of measurement, there’s probably a trick there… 🤔
The axiom of choice allows to duplicate a sphere…
I know mathematicians tend to approve of it, but the naturalist in me knows it’s bullshit.
Yup! Also the “natural” socialising age for cats is much younger than for dogs. Get them used to people as soon as possible. (Their critical socialising window is between 2 and 8 weeks, when close positive contact with humains is the most effective. See here: https://www.alleycat.org/resources/cat-socialization-continuum-guide/)
One of the most helpful advise I got about raising a cat is this: Cats are like hypersensitive humans that are shy with communication.
It explains a lot of their behaviour and helps you understand how they may feel in many situations.
It looks like you’re preparing very well, so I’m sure you’ll be an attentive and caring cat parent! Good luck!
And this is why tenure exists!
All the vegans and vegetarians I’ve met in real life were chill dudes and dudettes. One was an engineer and semi-pro skateboarder that was always making people feel good and happy. Another one was a solid rock climber always smiling.
I know more annoying people complaining about vegans, always grumpy and being proud of always eating meat. I also know this cool swing dance instructor girl who only eats meat, so it’s also good.
Aluminum is more common than iron on the Earth’s crust. They’re just jealous.
I’m partial to titanium and nickel-chrome alloys. There’s a reason they’re named “super alloys”!
“doing your chores” is a sedentary live problem where people stay at the same place long enough that their traces are not erased naturally.
ADHD is the perfect mindset for a nomadic society. Stay to long at the same place (and risk ravaging its ressources)? No problem, you’ll get bored before that happens and seek a new place!
Sedantarity and land owning is a problem to nomadic people everywhere 😁 Of course this is no longer valid in an overcrowded world like ours.
Mines are designated war crimes by the Geneva convention because of the indiscriminate killing. Many years ago, good human right lawyers could have extended that to drones… (Source: i had close friends in international law)
But i feel like now the tides have changed and tech companies have influenced the general population to think that ai is good enough to prevent “indiscriminate” killing.
If you purchase used musical instruments, you can usually sell them years later with very little devaluation! Same thing applies for lots of watersports gear and Legos!
Try to get into these types of hobbies, they’re financially responsible 😁
My alt right colleague would claim that it’s because authoritarian regimes would kill the homeless and wouldn’t need gulags.
Shopkeep: buying these goods will turn your world into a living hell
Me: yes, i know that industrialization causes global warming…
Instead of gold versions, rich people will get inconel-pannel cybertrucks!
For me it’s:
6 is half a dozen, so 6+6=12, then 7 is 6+1, so 6+7 is 12+1=13
