If going vegan is too much for you, just stop eating beef and switch to soy milk.
The emissions per calorie from beef are way way higher than any other form of meat.

The article claims it’s source is Euro-Med Monitor but https://euromedmonitor.org makes no mention of organ harvesting. No press release, blog post or anything.
Lots of other ghastly stuff though, holy shit.
This is incorrect.
I’m coding a Lemmy clone right now and have been testing this functionality out extensively. Deletes of posts and comments certainly federate, I’ve seen the AP traffic to make it happen. Also, the docs: https://join-lemmy.org/docs/contributors/05-federation.html#delete-post-or-comment
I haven’t tested what happens when the ‘delete account’ button is clicked… Mastodon solves this by sending a ‘delete this user’ Activity to every fediverse instance so there’s nothing about ActivityPub that makes that impossible.
Never, I have Mastodon for that.
Fair enough. I apologise.
In the 5 months since you joined beehaw, you didn’t make a single comment or post until now. And the first post you make is to defend literal Nazis.
Uh huh. Tell us more about your “concerns”, please. You seem real invested in the health of beehaw /s
Lol we know they’re problematic already tho.
Meta has already pulled plenty of destructive shenanigans. What makes you think this time will be different?
The purpose of the base model is to make the more expensive higher end models look better in comparison than they otherwise would.

You know how if your email app stops working you can just install another one and still communicate with anyone else with an email address? The fediverse is like that except it’s not email it’s twitter and reddit and YouTube all rolled into one. So if twitter was part of the fediverse when Musk bought it and destroyed it you could move to another server with a better moderation policy as pick up where you left off.
I can confirm that the 1984 Threads movie is pretty traumatizing. Not in a horror movie kind of way, in a “this is realistically what would happen in and after a nuclear war, which is the end of everything in the worst way you can imagine” kinda way.
It’s on youtube.
A convicted rapist (also charged with 91 other felonies) running for president, with as much chance as winning as the other guy.
Whenever another fixture of the 20th century leaves us, I spend a few minutes watching their clips, listening to their songs, reading their writing, or whatever they did. Gonna do that now.
RIP
And that’s just in Spain. Plenty of other Catholic countries out there, probably with similar incidence… Anyone wanna do a back of the envelope extrapolation? #lazyweb
My first instinct is to go for AGPL but the whole licensing debate isn’t something I’ve ever really engaged with so I’m not really making an informed decision about that.
What’s the advantages of a more permissive license?
I’m building a Lemmy/Kbin clone, using Python (Flask framework). I’m about 3 months in so the basics are there but it’s definitely still half-baked…

A whole bunch of 8kun / 4chan garbage. If that’s not against the rules, it should be.
The initial enthusiasm is wearing off.
Check out these graphs (scroll down) https://fedidb.org/software/lemmy. They don’t show October yet, but there are some downward trends visible.
With some ways of looking at things, the world as a whole is getting better, rather than worse.

I’m pretty sure long covid and climate chaos will put a stop to that soon enough but we’ll see. For now, some stuff is getting worse and some stuff is getting better.
