check on your boomer relatives. is it just me or can any other people immediately tell an AI photo because of the lighting and Depth of field is always wrong? Like it’s always off.

I’ve been playing Forza horizon 4, Euro Truck Sim 2, and ESO. And a little Switch emulation.
Her Morrowind high elf cosplay is impeccable though
Neither does Memmy for Lemmy. Plus it has a cute name
Oof. I feel like it’s my generation’s fault somehow, but I don’t think we’re old enough to have kids that are that old. Maybe it was gen X? But I just can’t see either melleniels (my brain can’t spell it right now for some reason) or gen x teaching that? But maybe I’m wrong. Or maybe it’s the greater society that instills it instead of their parents.
Jesus . Did nobody ever teach the kids, if you can’t afford it, do without? (Not counting necessities of course). Like I thought the keeping up with appearances thing wasn’t that big, but I’m starting to see that it’s very real. Like the idea of debt terrifies me.
I see this so much from my coworkers. I could never. I’d rather do without or just steal if I really need something. Credit like that is a trap. I learned that from growing up poor. I’m 36 and debt free and I’m not going back. I’m not buying every day things on credit. I can wait a few paychecks if I need to.
Just try to live my life like I did during all the bad presidents I’ve had over my life. I grew up protesting against George Bush Jr and my friends still died in Iraq. now I just try to live my best life, and love and help protect others. I’ve always been lower class and on the outside of middle class suburban America, so I’m used to just going about my life, no matter what’s taboo, or illegal at the time. Hell, DnD was the devil when I was growing up and I still played it. I still smoked weed when it was illegal, and I’ll still love a man even if they say I can’t.
Yeah I guess I should revise my statement. I haven’t paid the full 60-70 price for AAA game in a very long time.
Indie games seem to be priced more fairly, most of the ones I’ve bought tend to be 20-25 dollars.
And I’ve never bought any kind of special edition, unless it’s an older game and it comes with all the dlc bundled, like oblivion GOTY edition or something.
But I’m also a /r/patientgamer so I don’t really see a reason to buy something just because it’s new and shiny, unless it’s some kind of multiplayer. But most of them have become such a quick burn where the player base drops after a year when the hype train moves to the next stop, I don’t really see the point in buying them
I’ve never paid full price for a game. Not in a very long time. And I don’t buy transactions. 🤷
Yeah I really hate how gamer culture has changed. It’s non stop bitching. Yeah there can be bugs in games, it happens. Lmao you telling me there were no bugs in the games I bought on disk twenty years ago and there was no infrastructure to digitally update them? I’ve got boxes of old pc games that I can use to prove this is just something that happens.
People act like there are nothing but bad releases anymore but 23/24 have had phenomenal titles. I’d say this is a great time for the industry as long as you’re not stupid enough to buy micro transactions and $150 collectors editions Lmao
100% true
I’ve said it a million times, we had the opportunity to get into the market early under Bush JR, but he shot down investing in the tech. Now who is one of the top exporters?
I’ve always wanted a game that I could pilot from the planet to space and we’re here
I prefer launch no man sky to what it is now. Sometimes you don’t need a hundred features and multiplayer in a game. Sometimes you just want to calmly explore the universe and feel alone for a bit. Not have a million things to do and pop ups . I have enough of that in my life and other games
What I’ve seen from the average person, torrenting safely is for techies and most aren’t bothered with the effort of it. It’s a low hurdle that most people don’t want to waste time on. Building a local collection takes a shit ton of time. I’m currently rebuilding my music collection to roll my own music streaming server and I’m questioning the time value. But I’m sick of music I like getting deplatformed due to licensing
I bet it’s for the National industry, fake tech support call center scams and other places. A lot of them pretend to be in America. That and generally a lot of developers there fake their location.
This so much. Put it up there with Lockheed
The shining. I watch it every year at the first snow. I’m afraid I won’t get that chance this year.
