Am teacher, this is absolutely true. The awkwardness is hilarious too me.

I did that to my old boss weekly. This guy was dense.
It’s really a flux as the bullets are moving. The ‘per second’ is implied.
A swing and a miss.
I don’t agree. In fact, the Tesla drivers around me are some of the better drivers. I still hate Tesla though.
I just bought a new car and it has internet enabled remote start. The salesman touted the feature. My response: “oh so I can start the car in [one state] while I’m in [another state] so it’s ready for me when I get back?” He didn’t have a good response for that. Nice car, dumbass feature.
People like the one you responded to drive me nuts. Comments are for discussion, how the hell do they think discussions work?
Try running tanks or planes without fuel, parts or ammo production. Covid was a little inconvenience compared to the supply chain nightmare a war could bring. It takes a TON of upkeep to keep a military rolling.
What does this even mean? That a private citizen is going to have better access to fuel, parts and ammo than the government?!?
My neighbor had a crazy old Montgomery Ward tiller, I’d guess from the late 60 or early 70s. I borrowed it once and decided to be nice and change the oil in it since I doubted he ever had. Could not for the life of me figure out how to drain the oil without flipping it over… It’s ran for this long on old oil, it’ll run for a bit longer!
I’m going to go ahead and say Rick and Morty isn’t a “children’s show” though.
I like the subtle windows logo in the bin for windows ME.
That’s a fucking delicious 33 years.
I would say I would boycott Starbucks, but that would imply they have a product I desire.
I have a feeling I know where your username came from.
I was only responding to the screenshot as posted above.
Difference: you’re paying for what you eat at a restaurant, you deserve a good meal.
Lemmy is a free and doesn’t owe any of its users shit. Being a dick to someone trying to make the place better (through “feedback”) doesn’t help anyone here.
Agree with the mod here. The user complains without offering ideas. Sure, the comment was “criticism” but it’s far from constructive or useful.
The analog storage you are referring to from thousands of years ago has degraded substantially since its creation. Yes it’s still useful but I wouldn’t use that as evidence it’s a better medium. Case in point: texts (a digital storage form) from thousands of years ago can be retransacribed to be exact copies of the original (with respect to the knowledge contained within of course) whereas paintings from the Renaissance have changed dramatically due to aging and can never be returned to their original form since the needed data is lost.
They flap pretty good in heavy turbulence.
