It’sreally good that you are seeing a therapist. I think it’s better to have professional help whenever possible.
Hope things get better.

I blame Yoda for their “do or do not; there is no try” maxim.
How do you call your cousins?
If one is not inclined to social gatherings but still feel a need for something to signal this passage (or any other), a good option is to perform a personal ritual of choice.
Human brains seem to be inclined to appreciate symbolism.
This wasn’t my case, my parents were very well adjusted for the most part but it did happen to a former partner. It was usually accompanied by a deep silence and denial. Hope it gradually gets more normalized to at least talk about it; even if therapeutic alternatives may not be available, having support from friends and family is a huge improvement.
The only good part of calls is when someone’s pet gets into frame. It’s usually cats bc they can jump into desks, but sometimes someone will pick their dog up for us.
Gotta love how unambiguous TLA are.

I’ll check out Noice, thank you for the recommendation! Not a big fan of rain sounds due to bad experiences, but certainly other white noise, and “ADHD” Playlists with no lyrics are really helpful for concentration sometimes.
A very basic version taught by my grandma:
Slice 1 large red onion in half moon shape
Place in a glass container and add enough lime juice to cover it. If lime is unavailable, lemon or white wine vinegar also work.
Add a pinch of salt and oregano.
No heat is needed. Let it sit for at least an hour on room temperature or in the fridge if the weather is too hot.
Same, I don’t understand how others can do it, I’ve tried forcing myself but no luck. I work in silence most of the time.
Then = 2 hours later.
Ganon looks so much like Roy, whom I rescued years ago, but had to rehome. I’m sorry for your loss.
If you use it frequently, and have money to spare for that (after maybe considering other projects that may better align with you personally), yes.
I donate a small amount every year. Before now, I had not given much thought about its internal politics or whether they really need it to stay afloat (my contribution is too small to make a difference anyway).
To me, it’s more of a way of being thankful for having ad-free content with a good enough material.
Do you care to elaborate?
I’ve tried getting into both a few times, to the point of noticing some benefits, but I fall off the wagon bc everything I read about it quickly goes into religious territory.
