Wait your signature is supposed to just be your name in cursive? But then wouldn’t that defeat the point? I thought in the olden days it was supposed to be like a proof that you were the right person since you knew how your signature was written.
Anyways, for my signature I just kinda designed it. It was ages ago so I forgot my process, but it was deliberate and I remember making a whole bunch of sketches before finding one I liked. And since then I’ve incrementally improved it.
That seems very precarious to me, I’d be constantly worried about nudging it and dropping the cups.

Nope, smoothbore muskets were/are much more accurate than most people think, here’s a video of someone shooting at targets with one, and they were able to hit a man-sized target out to 150m. By modern standards it isn’t great but definitely not “flying all kinds of directions”.

From what I’ve heard (back when I used Reddit) they aren’t linked, there’s apparently a bunch of people who have one but not the other.
Someone said that it’s cause they’re almost opposite effects- car sickness is when you feel movement but don’t see it, whereas vr sickness is when you see movement but don’t feel it- but I’d take this with a grain of salt since it’s just some random person on Reddit guessing at the cause.
Personally my experience is mostly the same as yours, I don’t get either.

Something kinda in the same vein, in the book series Red Rising, hanging people on Mars is ineffective because of the low gravity (not enough force to snap the neck), so someone has to go up and pull on the legs of the executed person to kill them.
I mean this seems like an easy answer to me no? People in the past wouldn’t suspect you’re from the future, they’d think you were posessed or something. People in the future would be much more likely to think of time travel, plus they’d have records of old accents and stuff.
A similar thing I’ve run into where a feature that usually wouldn’t get activated much gets in the way because of games making you input weird patterns is the Windows language swap hotkey, alt-shift. I play a game that uses alt and shift a lot, and involves quite a bit of typing, so I kept getting confused why my language was suddenly different. Took me ages to find out why.
Same way as English, by combining preexisting words. For example, ether + net + port = ethernet port. In this case the first two characters (that’s what they’re called) mean “net” and “road”, combining to mean “network”.
I think adding new characters is very, very rare. Would be kinda like adding a new letter to the alphabet.
