Doesn’t work with a setting > 15 minutes for me either. I currently have it set at 30 minutes and didn’t receive a notification about your reply.
Thanks for looking into it!
Thanks. It doesn’t seem to work though. I’ve set it to check for messages every 10 minutes but I get no notification. (The app was closed during that time) 🤔
Does anyone have the some problem? I’m on Android 14 on a Pixel 7 Pro.
Notifications! Yes! Thank you.
(Can someone please reply to this, so that I can test if they work for me? Thanks. 🙂)
Default font size could be too small for most people.
I agree. I’d say that I have somewhat good eyesight but I had to bump everything one size up.
Wasn’t a fan of the holodeck episodes either. But they needed to produce 26 episodes a year. I don’t blame them for doing some filler episodes.
DS9 gets some well deserved meme love nowadays. Quite a feat considering most fans thought of it as the black sheep of the Star Trek family during its original run.
Same. However, my reddit usage has decreased significantly. I used to spend 1-2 hours there every day (which was waaaay too much), now I spend 5-10 minutes on reddit at best. The terrible mobile design drives me away because it keeps nagging me to use their app. On the other hand, I also only use lemmy maybe 15-20 minutes per day.
So in total, the stupid decisions of reddit have improved my digital well-being because I spend less time mindlessly scrolling.
Uh…thanks, spez?
I mean, how many ways can you style an X?
Maybe they need a new mascot now that the bird is gone. How about a hamster? They could call it Xhamster.
Nah, you’re totally right. That’s what the Burt Ward Robin would say. I was thinking more of the current Robin in the comics, Damian Wayne.
Depends on which Robin we’re talking about. The response could also be just “-tt-”.
Shouldn’t the logo be flipped because on Lemmy upvotes are blue and downvotes are orange?

Reddit: the front page of the internet intranet
As an Android user who got used to MaterialYou the “cold” iOS UI really looks jarring. But it’s impressive nonetheless what they accomplished with a web app.
Which is a pity because the ideas of having “circles” was actually clever. Or at least I thought so back then. I wonder how modern social media would look like if they all implemented that.
They do that to let search engines index their articles. Then they switch on the paywall an hour later or so but still get a lot of traffic (which is good for advertising) when people click on the link on Google etc.
To add to that: I think it’s actually worthwhile to write longer texts here compared to reddit because of two reasons: 1) people here want Lemmy to succeed so they put more time and effort in to get things going, and 2) it’s more likely for that text to be seen by others because there aren’t 2.000 other commenters but maybe 20.
Just installed v121 and I got a notification upon starting the app.
Seems to be working. Thank you!
