The sect around me does not vote as a rule. They use voting as a threat whenever the English try to enact some rule that affects their situation.

In the past 20 years these restrictions on their “religious freedom” have included the following:

License plates and road taxes for buggies

Helmet requirements for children riding bikes on state highways.

Requiring them to clean up their horse poop scattered on public roads and waterways

Requiring their children to receive a bare minimum of education.

In the American system you need more than just a majority in congress to pass a resolution like federal abortion legalization.

At no time under Obama did Democrats have 60 seats in the senate. They had 57 seats and 2 independents who caucused with them.

This is not enough seats to overcome a filibuster which would be required to legalize abortion in all the states. They would have required 1 Republican to vote with the Democrats on this topic and I think even in the kinder political times that Republican would have been strung up on a light pole when they returned back to their home district.

That’s not true on the standard package car that makes up the majority of their fleet.

You are partially correct specifically when it comes to the P31 package car on the RAM or F250 chassis.

Even though it would be sweet if Joe threw on some aviators and said on national television, “420 legalize it bruh.” He can’t. It will require congress to be functional and do something that the average American supports.

I don’t think you get it, the majority of people on this forum don’t want to get rid of necessary vehicles like semis and tractors. They just want a reduction in personal vehicle use where possible and the implementation of cleaner/safer mass transit to replace that excess personal vehicle use.

People should be able to haul cargo, or travel to the boonies when they would like, but maybe we should make it relatively too expensive to roll coal with their suburban tank on their daily drive to wal mart and back.

That’s not how anything works. If the teamsters agreed to a contract that can be twisted out of that easily then they deserve it.

The supply chain will not allow that to happen. The facilities that build UPS trucks already have production schedules that are full into 2024.

It’s going to be a big effort just to meet the January 1st deadline that the contract currently sets out.

If you catch them ripe then they are a seedy soft banana with a different flavor. It’s so soft that the best way to eat it is with a spoon using the peel as a bowl.

But they have a very short window of ripeness, there’s a reason that they’re not commercially grown and it’s generally because of the short ripeness window and they’re easy to bruise during transport.

If you’ve got the space and the time go for it, it’s a fun little conversation starter to give family, neighbors, & coworkers something that they may not know grows right in their back woodlot.
