If your coping strategy for a shitty job is whipits, theres a very good chance you’re earning too much.

A lot if you use them regularly. Back when I was a heavy user I could very easily blow through $100 worth in a couple of hours.

the problem isn’t the whippets cost but rather that they only fuck you up for a good 30-60 seconds and leave a headache so youd have to buy an immense ammount to get through the day

Maybe they don’t want to do them all day, maybe they want a few moments of relief from their shitty job every now and then.

I’ve worked with long term whipits abusers. After a few years, the muscle memory related to that shitty job is about the only work they can really do. After five, not even that.

That sounds like an argument against giving people terrible jobs, but I don’t think that’s what you were going for.

A twenty second headbuzz while working in food service is almost always worth it. That’s arguably why their are so many people working in food service with substance use disorders.

Or possibly don’t do drugs when you are being paid to perform a specific task in a specific location? Especially if there’s any major responsibilities such as food handling and safety? Keep that shit to your own time.

Was going to give all five of you a big raise, but thanks to all that foul language I’m putting this nickel in the swear jar instead.

Miranda, you work in a kitchen if your staff isn’t high (with Kevlar gloves) you’re probably mismanaging that kitchen.

I’m betting 5 bucks on “no one actually did a whip-it, she just heard it in the news last night and made all that up”

A high end camera and install might cost $1,000. Not exactly enough the cover “raises.” More than likely it will be a $100 shitty wi-fi camera. This is such bull shit.

Miranda needs to learn what a fucking comma is. She’s so close to having a well written, angry note.

Hope she finds the employee and fires them. /shrug

Hey now she can use their salary that they’re no longer receiving and split it amongst the employee(s) who deserve raises.

And do you think she will do that with their salary or do you think this was a really lame excuse not to give out any raises?

I’m sorry but even with my food service background i’m struggling to see the difference you mention. I can see that sometimes places higher more conscientious staff members but with the amount of turnover across the industry, I can’t imagine that a place that doesn’t occasionally have staff members like that barring the high end establishments.

You’re decades in the industry say otherwise to what? I’m not trying to argue. I think you should elaborate on this “difference” between food service places you mention. Food service inherently attracts people with substance issues. I expect you will occasionally higher people who take advantage as a result

Miranda was def planting whip cream cans in the back so she can accuse the team and not give them raises.
